Dedicated to Teaching Individuals to Swim Confidently

About Eli
Mission: Total Water Competence. Zero Exceptions.
Water should be a place of freedom, joy, and peace—not fear. As the founder of Eli Swim Services, I have dedicated my life to ensuring that every individual, regardless of age or background, possesses the skills to navigate the water safely. From infants as young as 3 months to seniors 100 years and older, I believe it is never too early, and it is never too late, to become a proficient swimmer.
The Reality of the Water
Water is an integral part of our California lifestyle, but it carries a hidden weight. The statistics are a sobering reminder of why professional instruction is a necessity, not a luxury:
-
A Growing Crisis: Drowning deaths are on the rise in the United States. Recent CDC data shows over 4,500 people lose their lives to drowning annually—an increase of about 500 deaths per year compared to previous years.
-
The Number One Threat: In the U.S., drowning remains the leading cause of death for children ages 1–4.
-
The "Backyard" Risk: For children under five, nearly 87% of drowning fatalities occur in home pools or hot tubs. Often, these tragedies happen in the presence of family and friends in the environments where we feel safest.
-
Vulnerability at Every Age: While toddlers are at the highest risk, older adults (65+) represent the second-highest rate of drowning. Whether it is a backyard spa, a community pool, or the unpredictable currents of the California coast, the danger does not discriminate by age.
Changing the Narrative
My goal is simple: to drop the number of accidental drownings to zero. Through personalized, high-stakes instruction, I provide my clients with more than just a "stroke." I teach water IQ, survival instincts, and the physical confidence required to handle any aquatic environment. By equipping families with these skills, we turn the "danger zone" of the backyard pool or the open ocean into a space where they can swim freely, safely, and with total peace of mind.
If there is water, you should know how to navigate it. Let’s start today.
